Tunnel function

Hello,

I can’t get the tunnel function to work on my GLC2018... I start the car, open the windows (partially), press and hold the air circulation button, .... nothing happens!

Any tips?

Is it working for any one with a new 17/18 GLC in Canada?

For the U.S. version of the GLC (at least the 2016 model year with navigation) the air-recirculation mode switches on automatically in a tunnel and then automatically switches off after 10-30 minutes depending on outside air temperature and the settings of other climate control functions.

by tunnel function I meant: Press and hold air circulation button before tunnel to close all windows/sunroof; do same for after tunnel to retrieve window/sunroof setting; please see this ~1-min youtube video:

Yup, mine also doesn't work. 2017 - USA. In these cold months -- I sure do miss REST mode!

i dont understand why they make so many little tweaks for different countries. why bother reprogramming so it can use tunnel; mode or rest function. just give those features to everyone.

GLC300 in the USofA no tunnel function for me either. I’m sure with the right kind of software/cable you can somehow engage it to work.

I agree on REST mode.
Had it in my last car and found it brilliant!

I think it could be useful for non-tunnel situations, e.g., passing next to a garbage truck, bad fumes, ...
