Service and warranty
Would there be any issue with warranty going over mileage on the 10k service? I would imagine the car wouldn't mind but if you were to go over a few hundred miles but do you think mb would use it possibly void a future warranty claim?

On my first A service I was 2,500 miles past the due mileage. Not a word from the service advisor when I finally presented the truck for service. I was 500 miles from my servicing dealer and 100 miles from the nearest dealer. In retrospect, I should have explained the problem to my service manager.
There should be no expectation the vehicle will be delivered for service exactly on the precise mileage or date the service is due. Several hundred miles/days overdue should not be an issue. 2,500 miles, on the other hand, is probably stretching it.
If you know your going to be well past the specified mileage, perhaps it would be beneficial to discuss the issue with the service manager.

I have no experience with Mercedes in particular, but generally speaking I would say "hundreds of miles" isn't an issue. For it to be even an issue, the car would have to be telling you it was "overdue" for service, not just "due."
However, if the warranty issue was directly related to a service issue -- like the engine seized up due to no oil or something -- then it's more likely they could try to blame some or all of that on you. If the needed warranty repair is unrelated to a service item, I can't see it ever being an issue.

Technically - let's say you had Mercedes pre-paid maintenance - on the pre-paid maintenance - your mileage 10,000 mile mileage interval is actually 12.500 miles - or one yr is actually 14 months - for time or mileage.
If you don'tr have Mercedes prepaid maintenance - your service can be done at Mercedes dealer - or any independent shop - as long as you have invoice showing the "factory recommended service" has been done.
Keep the beat !
