Acoustic glass replacement
Anyone had driver's and front passenger glass replacement?
I noticed excess wind noise from my brand new 2018 GLC and dealer offered me to replace those windows to Acoustic glass for free.
They said it costs them $1,000.00/for 2 of them

Say, you hear wind noise at 100km/h, now it will be 110km/h

I had my front side windows replaced with acoustic under warranty. They reduced wind noise noticeably.

Elsewhere in this forum, back in 2016 there is a detailed explanation as to what the dealer has to do and how to realign the external housing that forms part of door and external mirror base.
filling the air void with approved seal helps, failing that, yes acoustic side front glass.

Wind noise /turbulences from front driver and passenger windows
G172.10-P-061763 -> this is the global one, can be used in Canada or in other countries.
LI72.10-P-062500 -> this is the local one in USA.
I used the global one on my 2016 C300 and the dealer replaced the windows, no questions asked.
I did the same for my new GLC300 and they replaced as well, no comments.
Both cars had the issue, and was obvious.

you are 100% right.
But MB doesn't give a penny on what we are saying. Only when the sales will massively drop due to the quality issues these cars have, MB will take action.

Agree 100% they should fix it in new vehicles but I'm guessing they did the math and figured why replace 100 % with more expensive glass if only 20% of the people complain?
It's not something that's really immediately noticeable during a test drive so I don't think will affect sales allall t much.
