Command update what is the latest version.

i wish they would have the sign recognition here in the US like they do in Europe
Also, I had the speed limit sign on the nav screen with V10, but only on some secondary streets.

Just sent the ebay listing to my service adviser and copied the dealer general manager and asked her to help.
This is ridiculous. It was promised for free.

Navigation Update COMAND 2018. Map Version N. America 2018 V11.0
Installed January 2018 at no charge.
DVD object number BQ6460365 (I don't know what this means because there is no DVD in the box)
The map is on a USB data stick. The dealer included the USB and license key. The license is locked to the VIN of the vehicle.
The USB stick is mostly binary files. There is one database.ini with a somewhat useful header if you're interested.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I did just email her asking if she can just mail it to me and let me self-install. Looks like it is simple, but takes 40 minutes. I really don't want to drive 25 minutes each way to the dealer and then wait at least 60 minutes for them to install it (if not longer).
Does anyone have any knowledge whether dealers will mail and let you self install?
This whole experience leaves me concerned that Mercedes does not have their act together with the software update process. There must me 100's of megabytes of software in the car and I would expect regular updates to fix bugs and enhance features. I did ask my service advisor whether there were any updates to the distronic adaptive cruise control software. She seemed really confused why I might expect that. I've worked in software industry and assuming you don't need updates is folly.

MB seems particularly clueless about the navigation updates. My dealer service dept claims they never know when nav updates are coming. Apparently there is no regular schedule for the updates and MB does not have a set schedule. As far as I can tell, it is sometime late Fall/Winter.

I left my ‘18 GLC300 at my Dealer last night to have the recall on the Pano and the rear seatbelts done. I called this morning to,ask them to update the Nav to v11 also. The Service Manager told me that had come up when thy put my VIN in their system and they would updating that as well. No questions, no hassles. They just did it. He did say updates are released in July. I didn’t think to ask him could I get the new one when it came out. I don’t remember whether you get updates for 4 or 5 years, but I don’t think it said “once a year”. It was for a period of time. So I’ll ask for the update sometime after July, and then I’ll expect to get one each July until my time runs out.
Dont let your dealer jerk you around!
I don’t understand why some dealers apparently handle the Nav updates so differently, at least from what gets posted in these forums.

Latest update. Was promised it would be hand delivered to my house on Tuesday. No show. Service advisor went total radio silence. Wrote service manager today who promptly had it delivered to my house, but forget to include the required six-digit license key. And then he disappeared. Hopefully tomorrow he'll email it to me.
Mercedes -- the best or nothing??
I've attached photos of the upgrade kit for those who are interested.
So, I have a question.....should I aske the dealer for the USB for “my” update? In what scenario would I ever need it? I assume if my Comand locked up the dealer could restore it if I have my product key in hand, right?
