Fuel pump Shuts off prematurely in GLC 300 2016
Hi, Is anyone having problem in fueling, the gas pump shuts off in its position, one has to try different angles and even then it shuts off. I have noticed this works only in some gas stations but then also its not consistent, as a result am unable to fill gas and have to try 2-3 places before getting my tank full.
Please let me know if you have faced a similar situations, MBUSA says its a known problem and blames it on smaller nozzles of gas pumps in California

I've encountered it 3 or 4 times in California and I think each time I was at a Chevron station. But like you said, if you try different angles I always get the tank full.

I've actually encountered this with the 2013 C300 4Matic that I drove before my 2016 GLC 300 4Matic, but since it only happened at one particular gas station, I determined it was an issue with the gas station's pump, not the car. I don't go to that gas station, and so I've never had this problem with my GLC. I DO think that the issue at the one gas station was that the pump nozzle was indeed kind of small so it did not fit very securely.
