in for alignment, that leads to new fuel tank?
Took car in for 4 wheel alignment after getting new tires. The original Scorpions only lasted 15 K. Leaving dealer and boom, no fuel level showing on the dash. Turn right back around, they diagnose and say it is a sensor... have to order. One week later, sensor is in, back to shop and now, I need a new fuel tank and god knows what else. Car in shop for over a week.. parts. I ask if anything happened during the alignment? Weird that it happened during that service. Too coincidental. They say no... sensor no where near wheels but hmmm..
Anyway, anyone know what it could be? Have the same experience? I'm under warranty but it leaves me wondering what the heck is going on and why they bury a sensor in the gas tank that can't be replaced without a new tank.
