Secret-Squirrel button presses...

Can someone point out the various secret button combinations available to activate engineering modes, dyno mode, etc? For example, used to be you hold two buttons in a certain way and you go into dyno mode so all traction and stability programs are offline. Another mode (different presses) put Comand into engineering mode to see all sorts of system info. Yet another, allowed you to reset your service indicator.

I cannot find any for the GLC, and in fact recently tried the phone pick-up and OK hold on my GLA and that wasn't working... not sure if Mercedes is changing them with software updates over time.

So what are the tricks you know?

The only one I know for sure (i.e., that I've used myself) is to hold down the disc eject button to reboot the COMAND system.

What can you change or view in this "engineering mode"?

On the GLA it shows lots of version numbers of various software and has toggles and values for all sorts of things that probably shouldn't be messed with. What I really want is the Mercedes equivalent of this: http://bimmercodeapp.com/index.php

With that app and a cable - you can tweak to your heart's content. Check out the list of customizations available! Somewhere in Benzville, there must be something similar short of getting a factory setup and some of it is probably doable with key combos.

I just saw a Youtube video, but have not had an opportunity to try it yet. Hit the vehicle button, highlight system settings on lower left. Once highlighted, press the rotary scroll knob to the left for three seconds. I’ll get the link for the video
