2019 GLC300 apple carplay audio issue with Burmester

Hey,

I recently purchased 2019 GLC 300 with apple carplay and Burmester audio system. I realize there is a huge difference between radio audio and carplay audio.
Radio audio is much better but the carplay audio sounds like without Burmester system. I was trying to set EQ for carplay but the option seems to be greyed out ?? I really want to use carplay along with Burmeter. Hope someone can help here.

I figured out it myself. I have to connect my phone to bluetooth first.

Depends on how sensitive your hearing is, but yes connected audio will give you better fidelity. That's because rather than transmitting an uncompressed analog signal, like a physical connection, sending audio via a wireless Bluetooth connection involves compressing the audio at one end and then decompressing it at the other.

2016 S63 coupe
I have 2016 s63 coupe and have the same problem

My Audi q7 Bose system is much louder. Iv tried all possible settings and sound boost option the sound just not loud at all.
I was seriously considering to install custom systems. But decided not to do it just because I dont want someone tearing up rubber seals and messing up my light beige designio interior.

Dig around in the phone settings - there is a set of volume controls for incoming and outgoing (microphone) levels in there. That may be what you need. My car play has to be cranked up very high to get the same volume level of the radio... sometimes I don't reconnect my phone and the radio comes on blasting so loud you jump and run for the mute or volume knobs. We're talking distortion loud. So keep that in mind - the external sources don't feed as high of a signal level in general.
