MercedesMe should be available for 2016 models, but not on all regions
perhaps you can just download and install the app and try it
as an example, US has it, i believe Canada does not

If you're in the USA, remote start is done via the MercedesMe app on your smartphone. If you bought the vehicle used, you'll just need to install MercedesMe on your phone and activate an account.
