Just when I was ready to buy a 2019 GLC 300 I read the thread on "common problems". Wow. It seems like squeaking brakes and rattles are common problems. Anyone think the 2019s are any better?

Got it exactly a month ago on the 9th, it had just come off the water and was on the dealer`s lot for 9 days when I picked it up. It has aprox 600 miles on it now and it is an amazing vehicle in my honest opinion. I like the ride, the mileage it gets per gallon, the handling and most of the included technology it features. FYI you should shoot for 16% off the MSRP if you are buying, the salesman will howl like a scorched cat but it is what you should hold to. I worked thru 3 dealerships and they all said it was impossible, that I was insulting them and one told me I was crazy and in the end 2 of them agreed to the offer of 16% off sticker. Edmunds can be very helpful as it tells you exactly how long the dealer has had possession of the car on his lot.It blows their mind when you drop that fact on them, especially if it`s in the 3 digits. I did all negotiations via email and then a final phone call to close the deal.
LED headlights are now standard equipment on the 2019's. I just leased one 6 hours ago. $49100 sticker for $41000. Like the other poster said, some dealers said that was absolutely impossible. Its not but you have to have the energy to shop around. I too handled everything over email with the dealer.
Other dealers wouldn't go that low even on a service loaner with 7k miles with the exact same specs. I tried to get a loaner in the $36/37 range but they wouldn't do it. The dealer I got the $41k from didn't have a loaner that met my needs otherwise I would have pursued that.
Not a single break noise since ive had her - but i did get a constant squeek coming from the latch that holds rear seats upright when it was very cold out. Metal on metal.
I would just fold the rear seats down and back up again and it would solve the noise - for a time. The cold seems to have made it worse but now that its warming up - havnt heard it for awhile.
Otherwise - amazing car - and based on the price others are paying in the US (converted to Canadian + taxes + COB + the coupe premium) - i did ok.
I thought about that. My lease is up now so not sure if I can wait. I've asked dealers in the US when the 2020 one will be available. They don't know. Could be summer or fall.
Got my GLC 2019 in January 2019. I have no issues with noise or any such defects. I test drive 2017 and 2018, didn’t hear anything strange with those either.
I am going back and forth over the new 2020 GLC and the GLE. leaning towards the GLC and local sales told me 6% is pretty much as far as they go. I dont mind shopping in other states and I live in Indiana. trading my 2018 S5 sportback prestige as well. so is closer to 10% doable? more than likely will have to order to get what I want. thanks in advance.

Usually if you buy a car off their lot then they'll be able to give you more discount. I got around 12% off on a demo car without any trade-ins. So 10% for a factory order should be doable.

16% off can also be had on a GLC at MB of West Chester PA, they offered me 16% off on one that was still on the water, ask for Angelo
That nonsense your local sales team is giving you about 6% is the same tired crap they tried to give me at my local MB dealership.

in central NJ, there are 5 dealers within 30 miles. 11-12% can be had.

I am in northern indiana. no problem travelling for that discount. the problem is the on lot vehicles tend to be basic black interiors and white or black exteriors. BORING

They have pretty extensive inventory around here since there are more automobiles in NJ per capita (or perhaps maybe even in total) than any other state. Lots of silver, gray, blue, and red. I saw a red one with beige interior and absolutely loved it.... but it was the wifes choice and she wasn't as enthusiastic.
When I bought my 4Runner, I drove 3.5 hours to Maryland to get a blue one in the exact trim level I wanted. There were only 3 on the east coast so I understand wanting all the details just right so you're 100% happy.
That's why I ordered mine in November and waited for it to arrive. I wanted leather and the night package, among other things, and although I liked the beige, you couldn't get it with the night package on Selenite gray. Go figure. So I went with the designo white/black interior. Glad I waited.
