Grinding/Clicking noise under acceleration

Grinding/Clicking noise under acceleration
Wondering if anyone’s experienced this or something similar:
About a month ago I heard a clicking/grinding noise under acceleration - didn’t kick down but was at full throttle just before kick down.
Was only doing about 30 so it jumped down a few gears and just as the power kicked in there was a clicking sound, only lasted half a second and was I think 3 clicks.
I had the windows closed so it was hard to pinpoint where the sound came from but I thought from the engine bay.
Fast-forward to today and it happened again - this time I had the windows open and it was fairly loud and would definitely say it’s from the engine bay, or at least the front end.
I’ve tried to replicate it and I’m not able to but this is the second time it’s happened in the last month.
I’m due a service in a month so will mention it but as it can’t be replicated every time I’m sure they’ll say there’s nothing they can do!
Hope someone can shed some light on this.
