Adding Navigation to 2020 GLC without?
Is it possible to add navigation to the 2020 GLC? I see online that there is an SD card slot for navigation in the center console for the previous model year, but I can’t find it if it does exist in the 2020. I didn’t realize how bad apple CarPlay looks in the car, not utilizing the whole screen, and was considering adding navigation because of this..

I am in the same boat. I factory ordered my 2020 and cheaped out on Nav since i figured I would use carplay and save the $30 or so a month on the lease (renting a nav). Not using the full screen and essentially making the digital cockpit purchase fairly useless. would be interesting to know if we can add it. I know on the digital cockpit if i select nav it did have a notice about putting the map card in but I also do not see a slot anywhere.

What's not avail? If the car came with the MB SD card nav then all you need is the SD card and your dealer should have it or can order it. This does not get you to the MBUX type of system, that is only factory installed. But it includes Live Traffic that shows conditions accidents etc.

I do not see an SD slot anywhere on my 2020 GLC with mbux (non nav). I emailed my dealer but they did not respond My assumption is that it can't be done after the fact. I hope the least thing they do is allow the android auto and carplay to be full screen, and fix the mouse with android auto. Really sad for a luxury MB product to say the least.

I’m on the same boat, I read somewhere either on these forums or another one, where the dealership was able to activate it for somebody. I am at the point where I’m going to take it in and bug them about it to see if they can. The option for navigation is in my vehicle settings and it says “deactivated”. I’m assuming they can activate it for you through a software update.

For 2020 and for the MBUX system they no longer offer the prewire for the MB SD card nav system. I have it in my 2019 C43 and it's great so I guess they discontinued. With it you could buy the SD and the Nav got activated, but no longer avail. I think you just plan out of luck. You could always just buy a Garmin Nav unit and use a holder or mount it somewhere.

Audio 20 Radio Code 506. I have an SD Card Slot in the center console. I do not have code 355 Navigation Pre Wire.
I have not been able to use an SD Card to get Nav function.
Ive looked up other 2020’s it appears Code 355 PreWire is not an available option.
Guess it can’t be done but odd that SD Slot is Installed- GPS Antenna installed but still can’t have Navigation because 355 is no longer offered.
