Still trying to figure out all of the tech. My latest quandry…...the settings on the vehicle are set so that the side mirrors automatically fold when I leave the car. When I first got the car in late December, up until 2 weeks ago, this operation worked flawlessly.

Starting 2 weeks ago....no so much. As a matter of fact, the mirrors do not fold automatically at all.

So, what did I do? Well, 2 weeks ago, I programmed the right side mirror so that when I put the car in reverse, the right side mirror folds down so I can see the curb. This is the only thing that I did that affected the side mirrors.

So, based upon this, does anyone on this forum have any idea what the heck I did and how the heck I fix this? I double checked and my settings and they are still set so that the side mirrors automatically fold when I leave the car.

Also, does anyone know if I can manually cause both side mirrors, or one of the mirrors, to fold by pressing one of the buttons while still driving the car (what I mean, while the engine is still on)?

You did nothing wrong, it happened to me too, it’s a glitch. Fold your mirrors with the manual button on your door, above the mirror adjustment buttons. Open them, turn off the car, get off, and lock it, they should fold automatically again.

This worked for me on my S213 220 e estate. Manually fold and open the wing mirrors using the control above the the drivers side window controls. Then get out and lock the car and the mirrors should fold automatically. Looks like it just gets a bit jammed. Thanks for the advice enduro963
