Its probably just three holes in the tail gate and you just push this into them. To remove the broken on, you should be able to pry it off. Im not sure, but that what it looks like Also some people use fishing line to slide under and around the emblem to work it out. Or if its actually broke you can probably just pull it off piece by piece. Good luck.
I don't remember how the GLC is, but if there is any curvature on the base at all, this will not stick! I've seen many reviews on eBay stating that it slowly but surely peels off.
