Just picked up a fully loaded 2017 GLC300 with great mileage and only options missing is the upgraded sound and HUD (which I understand is because it has Distronic Plus). Anyhow, we love the car, mainly the wifes car replacing a 2015 Pathfinder.

So far love how this thing drives and the options on it. Only question I really have is around the navigation. It currently has the 2018 maps. I’m in Canada, specifically in the Greater Toronto Area. I’ve seen pics of peoples Nav showing building and 3d landscaping, also speed limits. Does anyone know if updates after 2018 add these graphical enhancements, or is the GLC stuck with straight map. I found the 3d option but does not do much. I’d think a major metro city would have these enhancements. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Speed limit i believe is part of the distronic package - it can be turned on and off so confirm that it is on.

As for 3D maps if the data is the and you zoom out far it will not show - i usually keep mine at 1/8 scale and see 3D buildings in one area of my commute

this and 3D maps is also contingent on whether the map has the data for it. .

Did some research and seems like we did not get the traffic sign assist feature in Canada. So far nothing on the 3d maps.

Also saw some videos and went through the owners manual. As we don’t have Mercedes Me Pre 2019 here, internet access is granted through the phone. I have that all setup, however I noticed that the online search feature in the Nav is greyed out. Anyone else know how to get this on? Did everything in the manual, got a internet connection but no luck.
