Total failure while driving
The dash immediately displayed a picture of a shock absorber with fault drive at max 80kmh.
It also then rotated through EBD ABS inoperative see owners manual limiter inoperative, parking brake see owners manual in red, active brake assist function limited, pre-safe inoperative and all sorts of sensor failures including active bonnet malfunction whatever that is.
The brake required hard pressing to slow down, the power steering switched off meaning it was hard to turn it, like an old pickup, and it was locked in 5th gear. I had to stop and call the service. When the mechanic arrived he said the software has probably hung and tried to download it kinda implying this fault (collapse) does happen regularly. In the end it was towed away and we are waiting for further information.
Has anyone else had or heard of anything similar?
I should add its a late 2019 model.
