Key not found!

My wife 2016 GLC has developed this issue that has been discussed on other boards. It started a few months ago and disappeared but during the last two weeks it has been daily.
It will start on the first start of the day then it won't start and the screen shows "key not detected".
Some people claimed that a software update fixed this problem for them?
The key will work on locking and unlocking as well as opening the trunk but it just won't work on push to start after the first start of the day.
Don't think its the battery issue but kind of lost on what caused it, some people said its random which was the case until recently when it happens everyday.

My '21 GLE350 has done this several times. It just went away and then it comes back.

Had the same a few weeks ago. I pulled the battery, waited for about 10 mins, put new battery in. All works, so far.

Sounds drastic, but put your car battery on a charge for 8 hours, something like Ctek brand with AGM battery selection. If you have only been travelling a few miles each day and have had a number of days of no driving, you battery will be dropping below effective level.
These cars with multiple ECU have constant current drain, add the age of your battery and either very cold or very hot conditions and your battery will be suffering.
Regular charging every few months will give long life and better connectivity to all ECUs.
Let us know how you go, and yes change the button battery in both of your remotes, they usually only last around 12 months.

Thanks all. Yesterday was unable to start the car with the push button so I had to use the key. After driving for about 5 minutes, stopped at the market, I was able to start the car again with the push button without anything else. Also was able to start the car again at the other two destinations. Strange, don't know what to make of if.

By chance, I wonder if the key was asleep? I read recently that you can put the key to sleep, pressing lock buttons twice if I recall, to save the key battery.

On most vehicles, pressing the lock button twice will sound the horn and instantly set the internal alarm system in it; whereas, only pressing it once will lock the vehicle and then the alarm will set about 30 seconds later. Luckily, I haven't had the OP's issue, YET.

Title: Seeking Help: 2015 E63 AMG Electrical Issues After Attempted Module Reprogramming

Hello fellow car enthusiasts,

I'm in need of some expert advice and guidance regarding my 2015 E63 AMG, and I'm hoping someone in the community might have encountered similar issues. Here's the situation:

Recently, I attempted to reprogram some modules in my car using my Xtool D9Pro tool. Initially, everything seemed fine, but gradually, things started to go downhill. I now find myself facing a host of problems and am struggling to pinpoint the root cause. The issues I'm currently experiencing include:
  1. Communication Breakdown: I've lost communication with all modules except CWG and KONO.
  2. Transmission Trouble: My car won't shift into gear, rendering it immobile.
  3. Instrument Cluster Malfunction: All instrument cluster readings are showing as malfunctioning.
  4. Seat and Trunk Issues: My seats no longer power up, and the rear trunk is completely unresponsive.
  5. Persistent Headlights: The headlights are stuck in the "on" position at all times.
  6. Auxiliary Coolant Pump: The auxiliary coolant pump seems to be running constantly.
I've taken several steps to diagnose and resolve the problem:
  • I've triple-checked the F32 fuse, and it appears to be intact.
  • Both SAMs have been examined and seem to be functioning correctly.
In an effort to remedy the situation, I have new front and rear SAM modules on the way, and I've ordered XENTRY with C4 for diagnostics and programming. However, I've been wrestling with these issues for six months now, and my patience is wearing thin – my wife included!

I'm now wondering if these symptoms could indicate a bricked ECU. If so, how can I restore it when I can't establish communication with any modules for scanning? I'm open to any ideas or insights from those who have experience with similar situations.

I understand the complexities involved in automotive diagnostics and programming, and I'm willing to try all viable options. If you've faced similar challenges or have expertise in this area, your advice would be immensely appreciated. My goal is to get my E63 AMG back on the road and regain the functionality it once had.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. Your insights could make a significant difference in getting my prized vehicle up and running again.

Best regards,
