2020 GLC300 Headlight Seal Failing / Alignment Issue

Looking closer at the top of the lens, it looks pretty poorly aligned with the rest of the body. The attached picture shows the top of the lens (and you can see one of the problem areas in that picture). I opened the hood and checked the mounting points, and nothing looks like it was damaged, bent or broken. Rather it just looks like the headlight unit wasn't installed correctly and is set too far back at the top (Note: the white on the corner edges of the hood/fender in the picture are actually reflections from the window in the garage and not scrapes). I'm trying to discern whether the poor mounting is putting stress on the bottom of the light and could have caused this issue. The other side also looks a bit misaligned, but not nearly as bad.
The car has never been in a collision of any sort and there is no visible damage anywhere on the bumper, lights, fenders, etc. I am the sole driver of the car, always park carefully (only in larger spots, etc.) and the car is always garaged at home.. I also can't see how this could be caused by any sort of parking lot impact as the mounting points aren't damaged, the bumper isn't damaged (and that would likely have messed up the bottom instead of the top) and any taller height vehicle would have also bent the hood or the pointy corner of the fender.
Has anyone with a GLC had either poorly aligned headlights and or experienced a failed seal like this on their lights?
