The eCall system recall that some are referring to is another campaign, and the update to the communications module has indeed been pushed out a while ago. It affected not just MBUX vehicles. I don't remember off the top of my head when I got mine, but it was over a year ago or something like that.
If your VIN is affected, it'll be flagged in VMI, so call your dealership and find out what's going on. You can also go to the link below and enter your VIN. All recalls for your VIN will come up along with their status. There have been issues with the software update page in the app. The update could have very well be applied, but simply doesn't show up in your app. If the recall shows as closed at the link below, then it has been applied, although it sounds like the update has to be accepted by the user, see the pdf, so you should have noticed if it came down.

Dear xxx
Thank you for your contact to MBUSA.
Review of records for VIN#: 123456 shows an open recall for an OTA, over the air update to the MBUX software.
Once it has been processed the recall will be closed out. There is no need to go into the dealership as they can not perform the recall directly as it will be done OTA.
We appreciate your continued patience at this time and hopefully it will be updated very soon.
All the best.
Kind Regards,

The recalls are being "pushed" through waves. Hopefully it will be done soon. There is no timeline at this time but they are working on them to be completed.
Kind Regards,

What specifically is your recall addressing?
Does it affect your driving, safety or ownership?
Otherwise, I can't see a no-sell requirement on new inventory.
