Leather seats more comfortable?

I currently have a 2019 GLC 300 with MB-Tex seat. They are very supportive but could be more comfortable. I'm waiting for a 2022 GLC 300 to come in, it has Vented Leather seats, can I expect them to be more comfortable (softer) ?

undoubtedly. my wife said that leather wasn't important to her so her GLC300 has AMG seats in MB Tex. my SL (and my previous CLK550) with ventilated seats in leather is far more comfortable. the Tex is hard in comparison.

My GLC has ventilated leather seats. They're quite comfortable, not particularly soft though. You might try sitting in a model with leather seats at the dealer and determine for yourself.

I will say leather by itself isn't gonna make a difference and there are different grades of leather. Nappa leather which you get in AMGs and higher trim models is certainly softer, but mostly to the touch. The standard leather you get in a GLC 300 is not as fine and soft as Nappa leather. It's closer to MB-Tex in its texture and feel. Seat comfort is mainly about what's under the cover, and how well it fits the shape of your body. A sport seat will be firmer than a more comfort seat in something like the SL as posted above. Very different seats. But also, comfort is subjective. I personally find aggressive and firmer sport seats more comfortable than soft cushy seats, because the latter makes me sink in and I have to strain my back muscles to stay upright. A firmer supportive sport seat is much more to my liking, because I don't actually have to use my muscles to stay in it. This is why I have the AMG Performance seats, which are effectively bucket seats, in my C63. They are made by Recaro and are some of the best seats I've ever had, covered in Nappa leather and ventilated, especially on long distances. I've recently driven a C 300 loaner with sport seats, and they were terrible in comparison.

Drove an e class with mb tex and was not impressed with the seat comfort. Then drove one with leather and loved it - noticeable difference for me. Leather in our GLC too.
