Inconsistent window control

Has anyone figured out the secret sequence that will cause them to open every time?

I think for safety reasons you need to be near the car for it to work -- the older smart-keys had infrared for this aspect, but I don't know how these more rectangular smart keys work (IR or RF). You don't want someone/something to get caught in a rising window. I use it more often on my SL -- to drop the top. It has the older smart-key system and I need to be only a few feet away from the car for it to work.
ALSO, I noticed that my GLC keyless entry works inconsistently once the battery gets weak, but no warning on the dash (other MBs warned earlier). I presume this feature is also impacted by a weak battery, so unless you have the car less than a year, try a new 2032 battery. I had to change my 2020 key's battery after about 15 months due to inconsistent lock/unlocking from the door handle, and silly me assumed prepaid maintenance would change the key battery since it's on the service list... my dealer didn't.
