Turning off the auto high beams
Is there a way to make the high beams come on when I turn them on, rather than them deciding if they want to be on or not? This is on a 2022 GLC300.

Yes, lift the high beam stalk back to the neutral position (until the auto high beam icon disappears from your instrument cluster). Then on the light switches side, dial it to the high beam icon (This however will also turn off automatic low beams.):
Every time you push the stalk forward it will turn on the high beam and lifting it back will disable it.
