Replace trunk release switch

My trunk release switch is broken on my 2019 GLC 300. I ordered a new switch and was wondering if anyone knows if it can be replaced from the outside of the driver's door panel or do I have to remove the door panel to replace it?

Since nobody answered my question I will answer it. You only need to pull away the bottom of the door panel to access the switch on the back of the door panel. Unclip the switch from the back side and replace.

Can you please give steps or share pictures on how you did it. I am planning to do mine but don't want to remove entire door panel.

I followed this video. You'll see he pulls away the corner right by the trunk switch. I pulled the door panel away but left the top part of the door panel still laying in the window sill. There's plenty of room to look in that bottom right and unclip the switch from the back side of the door panel.

Thanks. I will try this. Much easier than removing entire door.
