Vibration when in reverse

When backing out of my garage with my foot lightly on the brake I feel a vibration in the steering wheel. Naturally I am moving at a very slow speed, however, I was wondering if it could possibly be warped brake rotors. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing this and what was done to correct it. Thanks

Vehicle speed? Very slow, correct? Does "vibration" mean high frequency like buzzing? Or a "crunching" or "groaning" sound or vibration? You don't mean "shimmy" like at 60mph on the freeway, correct?

How long has this been the case? How long have you owned the GLC? New or preowned?

Likely cold brake rotors and pads, or condensation on the rotors/pads.

More of a shimmy, at very low speed when cold backing out of garage. No noise/ sound. I’ve owned the GLC for a little over two weeks, it was a dealer loaner

Bent wheel? Does the phenomenon present itself when the vehicle is warm? At highway speed? While braking? Is it only a visible steering wheel movement or is there vibration in the seat track (backside of your blue jeans)?

You described your situation as a shimmy. I usually associate that word with high-speed activity, felt through the steering wheel as a left-right motion.
Could it also be described as "pulsation?"

The only time I've experienced I'm kind of similar instances, is when I parked the car with wet brakes, the parking brake sets and the pads fuse to the discs. Probably iron from the discs embedded in the pads.
There's a jerk when the pads release, and pulsation as you apply brakes gently for a quarter mile or so, as the pads re-bed themselves.

Could that describe your situation?

Cold brake pads can be a little cranky first thing out in the morning. I have this known condition on a different vehicle and its only the first 1-2 stops first thing out in the morning. After that the condition is gone.

seamus2154, yes it seems like it only lasts a few seconds, most likely just cold brake pads. At other times brakes are fine. Thanks, Happy Holidays
