Equity at end of lease
My daughter just turned in her leased 2020 GLB for a 2022 GLC loaner vehicle with about 8k miles on it which she purchased. I was unaware that her leased GLB had some equity, the dealer bought it and I was able to recoup about $900 towards the new vehicle. The GLB 36 month lease was extended 4 months and the car was in need of a service, over 3k miles overdue and tires, she had nearly 27k miles on them. Realistically, new tires and the service would cost her at least $2k. After extensive shopping the purchase price of the GLC was very reasonable . Have other people experienced similar situations when turning in a leased vehicle. We probably would have just turned in the GLB and been done with it if our salesman didn’t bring this option to our attention. Thanks
