Brake Fluid Reservoir Sensor REPLACEMENT
My car had been sitting idle for a month, and once I had returned and switched it on the brake warning light switched on with a message saying "check brake fluid level". The fluid level is fine, nearly at the maximum. The car drives fine as well, including the braking. I checked the hood again and realised a couple of the wires from the sensor have been cut, or I assume have been bitten by a rat. Pictures are attached. Can someone please help me, what can I do? I am trying to find a replacement sensor but finding it a bit tough and do not want to order a replacement reservoir? Also, when normal, do these wires connect to something else in the vehicle? Or do they just have insulation covering them - I'm trying to work out whether I would need to go to a mechanic or simply just find a similar sensor and simply replace it.
Thanks!
