Since getting my 2021 GLC300, on occasion, I see these white boxes/shapes appearing on the navigation screen (see below). It's obviously trying to convey information, but it isn't helpful unless you know what they mean.
Although I wouldn't swear by it, I think I see it only when navigating to a destination. The odd thing is that sometimes they appear on a street that I'm NOT actually driving on, but on an intersecting street. I've checked for similar queries on MB forum websites, and I DO see the same question, but none with responses. The dealer couldn't explain, and emails to MBUSA support went unanswered.

Thank you so much. At some point I suspected that might be the case because it did appear when a section WAS under construction. However, the subsequent times I saw it, there was no construction so I chalked it up to coincidence. Your explanation explains why that might have been the case.
