Do anyone know how to take off the air vent cover on the dashboard?

Hi,

I recently found out that there is a ticking noise coming from the paasenger's air vent on top of the dashboard when driving on rough road. (I believe it is the defrost vent on the dash board pointing to the side window. Please see attached photos for exact part) When my passenger put pressure on the vent by pressing it hard, the noise is gone.

I am wondering do anyone has experiences taking that cover off?

One thought is "Mercedes trim hooks".

What about entering via the round adjustable outlet, then peering inside to see what can be seen under the side window defrost grille circled in red?

Use the pair of hooks to pull the round adjustable outlet off, then look inside with a bright LED flashlight. This will also help to identify how to release the side window defrost grille.

A ticking noise? Does it change depending on outside temperature, temperature of engine/coolant, different gears, different speed, climate control fan speed/temperature.
