Remote Start from the iPhone app

Hi all...probably I missed something but...I can no longer remotely start my vehicle from the app. It's a 2019 GLC 300 4matic. It's cold here now and I wanted to remote start it, but there doesn't seem to be an option to do so with the current version of the app. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks!

For starters, it requires a paid subscription after the initial free 3 years, but as far as I know it's been discontinued for older cars that are still using the old mBrace, and can't be renewed. The mBrace services are being terminated, because most cars that used it lost their connectivity altogether, because of the 3G networks having been shut down in the USA. The newer cars have LTE and use the new Mercedes me connect platform. The GLC switched to Mercedes me connect starting with MY20. Remote start is still available with Mercedes me connect as long as you have an active subscription.

So my app says "Mercedes me connect" but I don't see any way to subscribe? I like the remote start when it's 20 degrees outside!

FWIW, I found it easier to subscribe through the website, https://www.me.mercedes-benz.com/passengercars.html
Also, you can download map update for North America, not just your home region.

Not sure if 2019 has the larger screen with the new infotainment, but for 2018 model with the smaller screen and LTE, I had to call them to subscribe and the details on the subscription is at this website;

I just enrolled in the website/app because all I wanted was Remote Start and Remote Lock/Unlock. They will no longer sell a subscription to individual services I was told by customer service, you have to buy the entire suite of services, the majority of which I have no interest in. I asked MBZ Customer Service what value does the app have if I don't take the all or nothing package. The customer service agent candidly said "none". Enjoy

2017 GLC with a current Mercedes Me subscription. Remote start from iPhone works as of 23 Jan 2014.

That remote start feature is ripe for obsolescence. Any system that relies on apps, or internet, or connectivity is vulnerable and short term hype.

Yes it's going to be obsolete because electric cars don't have an engine to remote start anymore, but it's been replaced with the ability to remote control the climate and the charging from the app. You are not gonna do that from a key fob, unless you want the key fob to be the size of a phone. BMW tried that with their gigantic key fobs that have a display. Hasn't caught on elsewhere.
