Personally Servicing my GLC While Maintaining CPO
I am a first-time MB owner and new to this forum, so I am not sure if a similar thread already exists.
I have a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2022 GLC 300 4 MATIC. I want to maintain my CPO warranty while doing regular A and B services myself. Does anyone else do this? If yes, do you need to provide some proof of maintenance to Mercedes in case you need something fixed under warranty? I want to ensure that servicing personally my GLC will not void my CPO warranty. I searched this up but the only thing I found online is from the MB CPO website, listed below. Thank you in advance!
Do I have to Bring My Vehicle to an Authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealership for Service?
• Repairs covered under Mercedes-Benz Warranties must be performed at any authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealership. When you bring your vehicle in for warranty servicing at your authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealership, please present this document to your service Adviser to speed service order write-ups.
• Maintenance service as recommended in your vehicle’s Service Booklet can be performed by any qualified service outlet. However, we recommend that all maintenance service work be performed by your authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. Authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealerships have the trained personnel, tools, diagnostic instruments, and service reference literature necessary to perform the recommended maintenance correctly and systematically.
Keep a file on your computer. Always use a new washer on the drain plug. Use quality parts.
Now I just have to bite the bullet once a year and pay up.

All the items in the maintenance schedule must be done, but Federal law specifies that the Manufacturer can not require the work be done in their shop.
It's the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 1975.
Usually parts receipts are sufficient, but check to make sure.
You'll have to deal with the maintenance reminder resets as well.

I like the idea of talking to the Service Manager. I already contacted MB USA with my question, but no answer so far. I will buy everything needed for service B from a dealership and try to talk with the Service Manager. Did you maintain your vehicle while it was under warranty?

I do my own maintenance on two GLC300. Plenty of videos showing you how. The one thing that might annoy you is no dipstick! The computer takes a while to display oil level unless you find out how to get to the hidden maintenance screens. Don't forget about the service intervals of other systems not covered by Schedule A and B like brake fluid, transmission fluid and coolant.
They said "the vehicle must be seen by a Mercedes dealer service facility at least once ever two years to keep warranty coverage intact". As in, I can do the next Service A / B due but must have the following one due done at the Dealer to keep coverage in place. Of course I would check with your dealer about your specific situation.
