GLC300 Strut replacement
Morning all - about to replace my Fiances front struts on her 2019 GLC300. Is there anything special / complicated to this job? I come from the world of old (90s) Land Rovers so just wanted to double check before going after it.
Non air ride 4matic model. Havent seen any really good guides or torque specs online. Thanks!

Hope you replaced them both. Proper way is to replace pair.
Tell us how hard was it.

Hard - not so much. Lessons learned;
No need to remove upper or lower arms, disconnect lower tie rod and you have enough clearance once dropped to get the strut in and out.
Don't forget orientation of strut boot and bushing inside.
Have a good set of 22 & 24mm 6 & 12 point sockets, as well as a few nice box wrenches in the same size.
For the upper shock mount, I didn't have to correct tool to hold the 17mm nut while turning the allen to torque the shock to the correct value. To counter this, I drilled out a 17mm cheapo socket and was able to hold it while sufficiently torqueing the upper shock nut.
Having a paint pen to mark off nuts as re-installed helps too.
First side took approx 8 hours, second side 90 mins.
