Installing a Hitch is a Big Deal

. I found good GLC towing installation videos on YouTube from U-haul and E-trailer, however, my experience with my car's specifications turned out to be much more complicated. Now, I did modify the receiver mounting points to raise the hitch up 1.5 inches than its original position. This required more trim cutting and modifying the position of the tailgate foot sensors. I am very pleased with the outcome. The 2 inch receiver is tucked under the body nicely and does not hang too low. I will use this setup for my Kuat rack to transport mountain bikes, and to tow my small 3-rail motorcycle tailer with a 4-flat wire connection.

If someone needs trailer brake wiring, they'd have to use another method such as a Tekonsha RF brake controller.
It's interesting to see what looks like a vent, behind the wheel well.
Thanks for sharing.
