Do I need service BC for my GLC300?
i own a 2018 GLC300 that has 16,000 miles on it. I have been getting routine maintenance like oil changes regularly. The last oil change was mid last year.
There is a message now displaying indicating it needs Service BC. Do I really need it? Or should I wait until I hit 20,000 miles?

To me, a low mileage car should adhere to the "severe service" interval, since it's unlikely that it gets warmed up very often.
Water contamination, gasoline contamination - all those things happen more in a low mileage car than in a high mileage car.
I'm probably nuts, but unless I'm in a real rush, I never start the car and drive less than about 7 or 8 MI.
That's because I want everything to come up to operating temperature for a while, but also because I really like driving the car.
