2017 GLC 300 fuel cover is broken
Dear GLC community,
My 2017 GLC 300 fuel cover breaks. I searched on Youtube and found nothing on how to repair this problem. Does anyone know a good method to replace this broken piece before I pay whatever my expensive MB dealer charges me? It looks difficult to take out the broken plastics attached to car.
Thanks

I have the same issue. Was fueling and accidentally lean onto the cap cracking the hinge. It was a few years ago.
I was thinking to glue it back using the following. Do you think it will hold?

I'd say replace the plastic frame. My experience with glueing anything like that that hinges with a detent would break after one or two uses. Keep in mind you have to push in on the flap to release it. In addition, the location makes it a pain because the epoxy (or whatever) is going to run down the assembly and get where you don't want it to get. The only feasible way would be to remove it to glue it and if you have to do that, replace it. Plus, keep in mind that not all plastics are receptive to glueing as far as strength of bond goes.

The fuel pocket is a single-use item. At least it is on my 21.
Which means if you remove it to glue it, you'll have to replace it anyway.
Edit: oops! My 21 is a GLE, so my comment here may not apply. Worth checking, though.
