I have a 2022 GLC 300 4matic I bought used in December 2023. I wanted the Spare tire option for $200 and got that on this vehicle. It's not the mini spare but the temporary spare.
I would have liked to have the Burmester sound system but that wasn't on the option list for this vehicle.
With the limited space under the cargo cover with the spare tire option, does having the spare tire effect getting the upgraded Burmester sound system?
I saw on some GLC's I looked at, a felt cover in the spare tire area that took up space and it looked like there was no room for a spare tire.
Just curious if anyone has the spare tire option & the Burmester together on their vehicle.
following.....I ordered my 2022 GLC300 Coupe and the Burmester was unavailable due to the chip shortage, not, to my knowledge, due to any incompatibility with the spare tire, which I was able to add. FWIW, I don't hear much difference between the audio system I ended up with and the Burmester that's in my daughter's 2017 GLC300....

I thought that there may be a possibility of an amp or sub-woofer in the spare tire area limiting space. Anyone have both the spare tire and the Burmester?
Here are photos of my cargo area with the spare tire installed and removed. The felt cover over the fuse box has been removed in the 2nd & 3rd photo. The 4th photo is a pic of a 2021 GLC that I was looking at. It had the Burmester but no spare tire option. As you can see the cover fills to whole area. Not so on my 2022, it only covers the fuse box.
