Powered steering column
2022 GLC 300 4Matic. Just started to have an issue with the steering column not going up or down. Works fine going in and out.
I hear a click when trying to move it in or out. Had worked before but just noticed this problem it today.
Anything I can try before taking it to the dealer? Still under warranty.

While trying to move it up and down give it a good bump on the top of the steering wheel. That will sometimes get it to move again. Turn off your easy entry feature and that seems to keep it working when you really need it.

Maybe I'll turn it on to see if that gets things back to normal.

Yeah my ML 500 did the same quite often and a good bump would help it along sometimes and not others , Then the next day it would work perfectly again. Must be something in there that’s misaligned

A follow up to my issue with the failure of the power steering column to move up or down.
GLC is under warranty so I made an appointment on the 16th. Diagnosis & repair completed.
The problem was a bad pin connection at connector N32. They re pinned a couple of terminals and all is well.
The usual fix of pounding on the steering wheel while holding the adjuster in the up or down position didn't work for me.
