Hello,
I did some research and I cannot find anyone else with the same issue in a GLC. A few months ago, I went to go open my sunroof in my 2017 GLC300 4Matic SUV (not coupe), and the driver side of the sunroof tilted open however the passenger side stayed shut. I kept trying to close and reopen it and it kept doing the same thing. Thankfully, it isn’t leaking and when it’s shut it’s fine. I would like to know if this is an expensive or cheap fix. I saw lots of CLA and GLA owners have this issue and some said it was a $12 part and others said it was a $3k to $5k fix. Would love to have this fixed however I would like to know what the issue is so I don’t have to spent $195 on a diagnostic from the dealer.
My wife has the same exact issue - did you ever figure anything out?

I didn't remember mentioning anything about cost in my response did I? Was really looking for root cause and potential fixes/diagnoses. Isn't that what this forum is for Troll?

I was responding to the O.P. however are you also too cheap to spend $200 for a diagnosis?
Maybe try posting, or searching, in the x253 GLC forum for an answer. A lot of ppl are confused and moderators aren’t doing a good job of moving threads anymore, but this forum is for the yet to be released in the US 2023 x254 GLC.

If you're too cheap to pay $200 to diagnose your Mercedes-Benz then you're certainly too cheap to have it repaired. First Mercedes?
not my first benz, my family and i both have been buying them for decades. i saw somewhere that it’s a $12 fix so why pay $200 for a diagnostic if it’s such a little repair…? exactly.
I have used this on my F150 trucks it works great in sunny hot areas like FL and TX the gaskets seizes to the sunroof I have not put it on my GLC300 yet just picked it up last Friday.
if you can push it down and get it to open this will work Good Luck!
Cruising along the highway visiting our friends in the mountains on a beautiful sunny day in Colorado. Suddenly, a terrifying boom and we looked up to see our sunroof shattered. 9 month old Mercedes EQS 580. Hopefully MB will stand behind the vehicle and replace the sunroof with something that doesn’t shatter.
