GLC 300
Dash Dimming

Hi All!👍

2023 GLC300. Anyone know how to dim the dash at night? It’s like a beam of light in your face. No traditional dimmer option that I can find 🤷‍♂️. Certainly there is, right.

It’s under settings, system, displays. There is an adjustable brightness for the driver display and the center control display.

Geeesh!!!! I don’t know how I missed that one!

Thanks 👍👍

Now if I could get the media volume to stop decreasing at stops I’d be one happy camper 🤣🤣

There is a setting for that also. Turn off automatic adjustment under sound settings/volume

Here is how my system allows adjustment for that:

Thought that was something else though, doesn't all this does is to make each song (when one is recorded louder than another) to play a the same volume by the vehicle automatically decrease and increase the system volume?

That’s not my impression. I read somewhere, and I have not been able to go back to it, that perceived volume adjusts loudness and certain frequencies to compensate for road noise, etc.
I wish I knew where I saw that. It does not seem to be in the owners manual.

Hmmm interesting, if that solves it then all is good because I heard several complaints by forum members of the volume changing coming to a stop.
