2024 CLG Pricing
I originally placed an order for a 2023 GLC in March. In July, my dealer advised me that Mercedes was converting all unfilled 2023 orders to the 2024 model year. As of today (September 10th) my CLG still hasn’t been delivered. I’ve also been told that the price that I had agreed to and placed a deposit for would no longer be honored and I would be required to pay the 2024 prices. My argument to Mercedes and the dealer was that had my car been shipped when it was supposed to have been shipped, I would have paid the 2023 price and that I shouldn’t be penalized for their delay. What do you think..

i think you dodged a bullet and should cancel your order. These cars are plagued with problems. If you still insist on ordering one of these POS, then no, you aren't entitled to any price protection. This has been happening to many new cars the past few years (X1, Corvettes, Mavericks (Ford actually did the right thing and refunded people the difference, but that's pretty rare).

Another reason, as if one was needed (it wasn't), to avoid the soap opera of ordering a new car.
Buy existing dealer stock or preowned. There are better things in life to do/think about that being yanked around by "the factory" and scummy dealers.

You should just tell the dealer you're going to another dealer if they won't honor your original deal. I mean how much 'custom' did you order...surely with all the inventory of these on dealer lots it shouldn't be too hard to find a similar build already sitting somewhere?
