Easy access entry and exit
So this is bizarre. I notice with this feature on i sit relatively far back when i shut off car the seat moves up and when i get back in it goes back. Shouldn’t it be the opposite?

Not necessarily. With a 4 door, you have to get your body out from behind the B pillar, so if you are sitting far enough back, it actually moves forward so it's easier to get out and past the B pillar. It's different in a 2 door coupe where the B pillar is much farther back and generally not in the way of ingress/egress.
