Easiest way is to remove the wheel and push it out from the backside. They're held in place with 3 flimsey plastic tabs and a tensioner ring. If you try to pry them out from the outside, it's easy to snap off a tab (and maybe scratch the wheel). Last I checked, replacement caps cost about $30 ea.
