Easiest way is to remove the wheel and push it out from the backside. They're held in place with 3 flimsey plastic tabs and a tensioner ring. If you try to pry them out from the outside, it's easy to snap off a tab (and maybe scratch the wheel). Last I checked, replacement caps cost about $30 ea.

Well that’s not the cases here. I took off my rims off my car and noticed the the plastic little things attached to the rim as bolted down by screwing the back connecting to the metal there’s a picture somewhere here if you look you can’t take the metal off which would look worse. The plastics piece is bolted on
