MB warranty can be void if installed external parts
I wouldn’t volunteer that info but it should be obvious to dealer it’s not a factory option based on your VIN.
Running boards only connected where they bolt on.
If no holes drilled you should be ok for everything still being covered.
To deny any warranty work they have to PROVE these running boards were CAUSE of issue.
Example; assuming car is under mileage and age limits:
If your AC stops working because a hose leaked under hood - they have to repair under warranty.
Now if the guy who installed these boards ruined say a brake line then you are out of pocket.

Note that the quality of the running board install should be scrutinized going forward. Make sure the 3rd party did a good job!




Only issues that can be proven directly related to the aftermarket part would be void. While dealers try to screw people, this is a 50 year old consumer protection law…in the US.
