Washer fluid low

Washer fluid low
I have 6000 miles on my GLC and the washer fluid light came on today. I barely use the washer fluid so I find this hard to believe. Does everyone recommend getting washer fluid from Mercedes? Is it free? Sadly, when I bring in MyHyundai the first thing they do is fill up the washer fluid, I would add aftermarket washer fluid, but I don’t want to damage anything

In any case, I think an after market fluid will not give any problems.

I'd avoid RainX if possible since it contains silicone. If you have the PAV Winter Package w/875 Heated Windshield Washer System, I'd avoid anything other than OEM formulation washer fluid!

Thanks for all the replies. May try the turkey baster method first. Warning light has never come on. I usually check fluid level about once or twice per year as I seldom use it. Prefer to use a quality glass cleaning product on windows regularly. Have never had a problem with the fluids I get from auto parts stores.
Have a Nissan as well and use the dealership. While attendant is "writing up" the order, someone else is checking fluid levels and topping them off.
As for dealership, gave that up years ago. Too far away; too much long waiting times for routine service; and too expensive. Do use a local European car specialist place now.
