Can you negotiate price of a new GLC?
Can you negotiate price of a new GLC?
Hey! I know it can vary from dealer to dealer but do you know if it’s possible to negotiate the price of a GLC I plan to order (not buy from inventory) or are you stuck with MSRP?

Cann’t see why not. I have ordered my last 3 cars to my specifications. I never negotiated the price when I ordered but when it arrived at the dealership. Even my 2023 that arrived when all the dealers were trying to take advantage of low supply by tacking on surcharges. I got 6% off the MSRP. That’s after the salesman said the dealership wasn’t discounting. Remember even if you walk away from the purchase the dealership just puts it into their inventory and will sell it to someone else. In my experience the your special order is taken out of their allotment and before it goes into production all they are doing is changing the car to meet your specifications.
My last five cars (Audi, Mini, MB, VW, MB) were all factory ordered and the price was negotiated for all of them. The only tricky part was if I was forced to trade in my currently owned car, they always gave me less than was said at the time I ordered the new one even if I put very few miles on it.

2024 GLCs are gathering dust on lots
I look for either a vehicle that has been on the lot for an extended period of time, 90+ days or ask multiple dealers in a competitive market for their best price. A good example of the latter is while I now live in North Carolina I still shop Mercedes in the Richmond, No. Virginia and DC metro area. There are 5-7 dealers all competing with each other and I have been successful in getting very competitive quotes. You can then circle back to your local dealer and see if they are interested else spend the $250-$500 for travel expenses and go pick up the car in the competitive market.
We ended up getting 17% off MSRP on a day we didnt intend to purchase a car. Dealer said we couldnt leave until we bought one so I threw out an offer I was comfortable with on a pretty loaded '24 GLC300
Yes, , ,, I told them to lose the destination fee and the document fee and argued that the sticker was for comparison. I made it clear if they did not lose the fees, they would lose a customer. Tose fees removed and $2100 off the sticker price
