Fluttering noise when press a break before come to stop, related to front shock abso?
I often hear a fluttering noise, as if something is loose, when I press the brake, and just before the car comes to a stop, I hear this fluttering sound. I suspect the noise is coming from around the driver’s display or under the steering wheel, but sometimes it feels like it’s coming from the rear of the car.
Previously, I encountered another issue with the suspension. There was a rattling sound when going over speed bumps; I would hear a clunk when the wheel went up and another one when the wheel came down. The dealer analyzed the issue, and it turned out the sound was coming from the front shocks. I’m scheduled to have the front shocks replaced next week.
I’d like to consult if the fluttering sound could also be caused by the problematic front shocks, as I’ve seen people mention this in previous forums. Thank you in advance for all your feedback.
The issue of fluttering noise when braking has been resolved. The sound was caused by two heat shields under the car that were fastened together. Although all bolts securing the heat shields were tightly fastened, there was a gap between the two plates. This gap caused them to hit against each other when braking, creating the noise. To identify the source, the technician removed each heat shield one by one and tested the car. It became clear that the fluttering sound heard in the cabin, initially thought to come from the rear or front console area, was actually due to this contact.
The solution was to place a sound-absorbing pad between the gap where the two heat shields overlap, which immediately eliminated the noise.

Noise is from heat shield #15 and #16
