I guess my only real concern is the loss of Standby Mode. But really, other cars don't have it, and it's sad that we need it! So I'm hoping that MB became aware that other car owners can park their cars for a couple weeks and they start up when asked. Standby Mode seems liked a band-aid to me, so with it being gone, maybe they've resolved issues.
When we went visit our daughter in Charlotte,my wife left her 2024 GLC in the garage unlocked for about 3 weeks, no issues.

How about you run your car through a car wash and see if it flashes warning lights and sounds. If it doesn’t then we will know that MB addressed this and we will know why it is no longer offered as a feature - report back. Thank you in advance!

I'm lucky. I have a brushless car wash (including underbody and wheel spray) near me.

I brought my GLC 350e to the automatic car wash today and put it in great N for the conveyor belt to pull it through the wash tunnel. I had the windshield wipers turned off and there were no lights flashing or warning messages displayed, so I guess the car wash mode is not really needed.

I did the same with my 2025 350e today. Other than turning the wipers to ‘off’, it went through the car wash with no problems or warning tones. Maybe Parktronic proximity warnings are silenced now while in neutral? I don’t think car wash mode is needed on the ‘25’s. Maybe MB did a system programming change?
