My 2016 GLC is leaking oil. I can't tell where it's coming from, but it does look like used oil, not spillage from my pouring new oil in for oil changes. Any thoughts? This model is a problem...I wanted to keep it for 10 years, but I'm not going to keep throwing money at it. The crankcase breather valve issue will continue beyond 150,000 miles, so it's time to make some tough decisions. At this point, I'm not planning to buy Mercedes ever again.
Check the oil filter housing, make sure the filter o-ring is sealing the cap. If thats all good, check the filter housing to make sure the gasket is sealed, and the oil cooler is sealed. The pan looks too dry for it to be something from the front though. Can you pull and inspect your dipstick o-ring?
Oil leaks are pretty benign on Mercedes compared to their Audi or BMW counterparts. We're looking at a 2-hr fix labor-wise if it's one of the things I think it is.
