Understated menu in 2025 model

Understated menu in 2025 model

Hi guys, in my '25 GLC the understated menu is gone, even though it was available in the test drive model I got from the dealer before purchase.
Anyone who owns '25 model can check this please?

Strange, but the one you tested was also a 2025 right?

No I don't think so. Rather '23 or '24. For example it also had the car wash mode which is no longer available in the '25 models.

That explains it, I mean I think understated was removed (someone correct me if I am wrong) for MBUX 3.0 which the 2025 model year started getting it (this system came from the new W214 E class and the C236 CLE), yes same as car wash mode. The 2023 and 2024 had MBUX 2.0, which came from the W223 S-Class and W206 C-Class.

2026 GLC300 4Matic (X254)

Your new 2025 is "normal" for the 25s, I think. My 2025 GLC also does not have:

Understated Theme for gauges
car wash mode (in Owners Manual)
standby mode (in Owners Manual)

It also requires 4 center screen "button" presses to change radio stations (SXM Favorites) and the Park Assist comes on without me asking it to come on (at certain speeds). The car drives so nicely and is so comfortable but the software and features are not up to the standards that MB was formerly known for, at least based on my personal past MB experiences.

Frequently the first year of a new/revised model has features lost in later years, ie. my 2023 GLC and my 2021 ID4.

You're welcome and ya it does get annoying when you get accustomed to something and they take it away.

I was hoping someone has an answer for this.I have the same issue i test drove a few and they all had the understated theme. I also had a loaner car while waiting for mine to be delivered and had it as well. I was so excited to have it on mine as i love the colors on it and how it syncs with the ambient lights. I tried updating the software and restarting the cluster and it didn't do anything. If you figure it out please let me know how.
