MB app

My wife will be an occasional driver of my GLC. Are there any advantages to having her have the MB app on her iPhone and if so, should she use my user name and password or have her own?

Same here. My wife will occasionally drive the GLC but the only advantages I can see for her would be the remote start and door locking via the app. Even If I showed her it's doubtful she would use them. I had a hard time adding her as a user. Dealer eventually set it up.

I thought you could share the key, so you have one account then you can share the key co-users to another Mercedes account.

She would create her own Mercedes me account and then you would add her as a second driver to the car. Go to the user management screen. That's where you can add her. This will also give her her own profile in the car, so she can have her settings and you can have your settings. Some of the useful stuff is for example the notifications. If she forgets to lock the car for example then both you and her will get a notification and either one of you can remote lock the car. Other things like sending destinations to the car from her phone is useful, too, but all that requires that she's actually using the app. If she has a habit of not remember where exactly she parked, she can use the app to get walking directions back to it and even honk or flash the lights to find it in a busy parking lot. Not that I make a habit of it, but I dropped my wife off at the airport on Sunday and we were busy talking so I forgot to make a mental note of what level I parked on. Afterwards I had to search for my car. I parked across from the elevators and there were stairs next to the elevators, so I just kept going up floor by floor until I spotted the car, but was considering to honk the horn to find it.

Good suggestion.
OP , that is the way to go.

@superswiss said it best. Totally worth having different Mercedes me accounts set up as different user profiles on the car. Not only will she get all the benefits of the app, but you will both probably appreciate the user profiles. As soon as you log in, it pulls up your last seat position, mirror, climate, cluster setup, ambient light, automatic wireless phone connection, etc. based on each unique profile. Even each driver seat memory button can be unique to a profile. All you have to do is touch your finger to the sensor and it will be as if the other person never drove the car.
