2023 GLC

I wanted to get a 2023 GLC for my wife, but after reading about them seems like it is a bad idea. Has anybody had a positive experience with the 2023 glc?

I have a 2023 GLC SUV. And you are correct there are many horror stories that go around especially with the 2023. I have had only two problems in 14,500 miles. First were the parking lights through an error and under warranty the they were both replaced. The 12 V battery can be a problem but that’s covered under warranty. I just had mine replaced. It wouldn’t hold a charge. Those are the only two things that I’ve had go wrong. I expected some problems since the 23 was a completely new upgrade for the GLC‘s.
If you’re thinking about a 2026 or even a 25 I don’t think you can go to wrong. I love the drive. I love the comfort and when my lease is up, I’m going to get a 2026 350e. I’m retired and don’t do very many long drives so it’s perfect for around town.

Thank you very much, I gave my car to my wife my 2014 c300 58k miles. That will buy me some time to find what will be good for her.. I don't trust new cars anymore. We plan to go look at an E Class soon.

I have a 2023 and I now have 31,000 miles on it. I have not had one single problem. I did have to replace the two front tires. I came from a 2020 GLE prior to the swim and I love it. I have the AMG package

We purchased a 2023 GLC300 4Matic in May 2023, when they first came out. Currently everything is stable and we like the vehicle a lot. Unfortunately there were many issues with the software that had to be addressed repeatedly. We have had the vehicle in for warranty work, almost all for software updates, 9 times. So, if you are purchasing used or certified many of these issues should have been resolved. Our car is a little over 2 years old and has 14,000 miles.

You may have been reading about electrical problems with the 2023 MY. I believe they were all caused by the 12 battery not holding a charge or being discharged when just parked. I have had three software updates (something I like - software updates are standard procedures with many new cars and a lot easier to deal with than many mechanical fixes) and a new 12V battery, all under warranty of course. Now we have been using the GLC for many long trips and enjoying it without issues. If you do buy a 2023 just make sure it has had all software updates. If you like the GLC better than the E class I would not hesitate getting a 2025.
